Daniel Minerva
Dan has 30 years of experience in the ambulance Industry and with Empress EMS, starting as an EMT in 1988. He was promoted to director of communications in 1993, where he was responsible for implementing The System Status Management Plan. In 2001 he moved into his current role, VP of operations/COO, in which he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, including staffing levels for over 500 employees, communications, support services and fleet maintenance for 100 vehicles and quality assurance. Under his leadership, Empress has responded to more than 150,000 calls a year with the highest on-time performance and UH/U in the industry. In 2018 Empress received numerous awards and accolades, including 96 life-saving and unit citations.
Dan is a founding member of The Westchester Regional EMS Council. He also serves on The Bronx Emergency Preparedness Coalition and The Cities of Yonkers, Mt. Vernon, New Rochelle, White Plains and Pelham’s Quality Assurance Committees.
He attended The Emergency Medical Service Management program at Springfield College.
